"Through Reg's Eyes"

The year 2008 looks like its going to be the year to remember with the new Government’s plans to part fund the roll out of a national broadband infrastructure.

On March the 11th the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Senator the Hon Stephen Conroy, announced the 6 member Panel of Experts which includes Professor Reg Coutts to assess proposals to build the National Broadband Network www.minister.dbcde.gov.au/media/media_releases/2008/016 by the Australian Government and to advise the Government on the awarding of a A$4.7 billion contract to part fund the construction of the national FTTN infrastructure.

I am greatly honoured to have the opportunity to work with my fellow panel members, some of whom I know already, to help steer the process through some very important but contentious issues.
